During police checks carried out at the Vipiteno motorway toll booth, in the southbound lane, which were intensified in view of the G20 summit in Rome, personnel from the Brenner Police Station proceeded to check a tanker truck loaded with milk.
The driver, DA, a 37-year-old man, was found to be wanted as he was subject to a restrictive measure and in particular to a custodial order issued by the Court of Torre Annunziata for usury.
After the notification of the order, the man was arrested and taken to prison in Bolzano, at the disposal of the judicial authorities. This is the last execution of the 12 precautionary custody orders in prison of a police operation concluded a few days ago in the province of Naples for the crimes of usury and extortion.
During the checks, twelve foreign citizens were also stopped, some without documentation certifying their regular stay in our country and others without a “Green Pass”, all of whom were then rejected in Austrian territory.
