An investigation has been launched into the video published by the Neapolitan rapper singer Geolier, for the registry office Emanuele Palumbo 21 years old, in which he is seen encouraging his girlfriend to celebrate New Year's Eve by firing gunshots from his balcony together with other friends.
The video, published on the page Instagram, was acquired by the police. But the young singer defended himself in the columns of Il Mattino by claiming that it was a dog chaser.
Four gunshots fired in rapid succession at the stroke of midnight on December 31: “Go go, shoot!“, inciting a girl to shoot while hugging her on a balcony. The video ends up on Instagram with the caption “Happy New Year to all”.
There are those who have shown love for Geolier and those who instead expressed disapproval with strong comments such as “If I had doubts before, now I have confirmation that you are indescribably pitiful”.
But now the young man of Secondigliano and idol of the Z generation will have to defend himself against charges of possession of weapons and shooting.
Unfortunately, Geolier was not the only one to celebrate New Year's Eve by shooting from balconies and windows or even in the street. "A Gomorrah-style New Year's Eve", the regional councilor sarcastically commented Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
Which explains in a note: “We have reached over 2 videos reported for the New Year's Eve of shame, the one celebrated in Naples and the province in perfect 'Gomorrah style' by hundreds of men, women, even minors, who have decided to greet 2022 by shooting wildly with pistols and rifles, even at human height. We have collected a substantial video dossier with the reported videos that we will send to the Postal Police so that they can trace each of the protagonists by verifying whether they are criminals, whether they are in possession of a gun license, whether the weapons used have not been used for shootings, robberies and other crimes and whether they were used by minors.
It is important to remember that in the case of use in a public place, the improper and annoying use of weapons, even if blank, can constitute the criminal hypothesis of disturbing people's occupations or rest up to much more serious hypotheses and the law prohibits such behavior.
