Napoli. The installation of large colorful flowers in the flowerbeds of Posillipo will be the heart of the “Talking flower” initiative promoted by the social cooperative L'Aquilone Services, with the Oltre il Giardino association and the Gesco social enterprise group, scheduled for Sunday 15 May 2022 (10 am - 14 pm) in Piazza Salvatore di Giacomo.
A day of celebration to reclaim a place in Naples that, over time, has been subject to neglect and degradation but which has been recovered and made livable thanks to the two-year work carried out by the "social" gardeners-artists of the Oltre Il Giardino association, supported by many local sponsors.
The initiative takes place with the moral patronage of the I Municipality of the City of Naples.
The event is part of a larger project that combines the regeneration of the city's green spaces, social work, care for the frail and well-being of the community: the "social" gardeners, in fact, are mostly people taken care of by the ASL Napoli 1 Centro and find in the cleaning, maintenance and beautification of these areas, an opportunity for social redemption and job placement but, at the same time, they sow beauty and promote well-being for the entire community.
“Talking flower” is also the name of the fundraising campaign launched by the social cooperative L'Aquilone Services, to promote and finance artistic events designed to foster social inclusion and a sense of active citizenship and, at the same time, promote the care and regeneration of the city's places.
