They have been waiting for years, providing their services at the IRCCS (Scientific Institutes for Hospitalization and Treatment) and IZS (Experimental Zooprophylactic Institutes), for the stabilization that would be the signal to finally give dignity to their role.
But apart from promises and fine words, a widespread habit when politics and institutions deal with the NHS, very little has been done. There are about 1.300 researchers working in the public health system – the trade unionist continues – who have been available even during the terrible and long period of the pandemic
ready to do their work.
These days, the Social Affairs Committee of the Chamber is discussing the reorganization of the Irccs and it would be criminal if a solution was not found to stabilize these professionals, freeing them from the burdens of a precariousness made up of fixed-term contracts, scholarships, collaborations and VAT numbers. The long road of the SSN restructuring cannot ignore giving the right guarantees to this professional figure" concludes Giuliano.
