“The City Council must urgently approve the motion to protect the Battipaglia hospital”. This is the appeal launched by the mayor of Battipaglia, Cecilia Francese so that the municipal assembly approves the motion with which the signatories request improvements for the city hospital and in particular for the Obstetrics department. The point, already included in the agenda of the last City Council, was not discussed.
“An attitude certainly not adequate to the gravity of this issue, held by the minority, prevented it from being discussed”, explained the mayor who also recalled the “desperate appeals” that have been launched in recent days by the director of the operational unit.
“The first step is certainly represented by the approval of the motion,” reiterated the mayor of Battipaglia, recalling that the Council has been adjourned to Monday, June 20. “The hope is that the entire council assembly, beyond political positions, easy instrumentalizations or party orders, finds the strength and ability to unite in this battle that concerns not only the city of Battipaglia, but an entire area that gravitates around our hospital.
Thus, sending an unequivocal signal to those who make decisions that harm the right to health of the people of Battipaglia”. Francese also explained that “the citizens, the health workers, ask the City Council to fully resume its role as the highest political body and city government to protect our hospital. The appointment for all the citizens of Battipaglia is set for Monday 20 June at 20:XNUMX pm. From there we start to put a real dispute into action”.
