They were notified to the former senator Louis Cesaro, the house arrest issued against him by the judicial authorities as part of the investigation by the DDA and the ROS of NAPLES into an alleged political-mafia pact in Sant'Antimo.
The precautionary measure was notified following the removal from parliament. According to investigators, there was a business relationship between the Cesaro family and the clan of camorra of the Puca active in the area of Grumo Nevano, Frattamaggiore and San'Antimo.
However, Parliament had denied authorization to proceed. Cesaro ended up under investigation in June 2020 together with his brother Antimo Cesaro, for whom prison was ordered while house arrest was ordered for Aniello and Raffaele Cesaro, all on trial before the judge of Napoli North.
In December 2021, the Immunity Committee denied (with 12 votes against and 7 abstentions) authorization to proceed with the house arrest of Senator Cesaro.
