“They warned me about the long waits to pay the tickets. We went to check, and in fact the totems were completely stopped, with some of the staff a bit 'dispersed' in the area. We intervened and now it seems that the long lines are no longer there”.
Antonio D'Amore, the general director of the hospital, said this Cardarelli, returning to the topic highlighted on Friday by the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, who had asked to streamline the long queues at the Neapolitan hospital.
“Now – explained D'Amore – we are monitoring the area to check that everything is working. The counters will decrease with the advancement of technology for online booking, soon on our new portal. The electronic totems have also restarted, broken for seven months, and we have strengthened the counter.
But we will continue to monitor the area. Now we are starting a plan to increase bookings also in the individual pavilions, by placing automatic cash registers in the various buildings of the hospital. In the first three-four months we will also use young volunteers who will illustrate how the totem cash registers work, especially to the elderly”.
