The conditions of several Neapolitan school buildings are increasingly precarious, such as the Duca di Buonvicino hotel institute in Calata Capodichino where the prolonged bad weather of the last few days has exposed the fragility of the structure which has several leaks from the ceiling with debris that continues to fall.
There were several students to report the problem to the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli: "Look at the conditions we are in in our school and in our classrooms. We don't even know if the ceiling will collapse... debris continues to fall on us."
"This is not the first time we have received a similar report from this school. We have sent a note to the school management to understand the extent of the problem and whether any interventions are planned and when. You can't joke about the issue of safety", Borrelli declared.
“Too many school buildings are in terrible condition, falling apart, it’s a fact. The Italian school system is undergoing an inexorable decline over the decades, which is also linked to the conditions of the institutes. An intervention plan is urgently needed.”
