They were accused of private violence and ideological forgery but today an inspector, a chief assistant and a prison police officer were acquitted.
In fact, it was held before the GUP of Court of Benevento, Dr. Maria Di Carlo, charged to the inspector of the Penitentiary Police, Michael Campobasso and the assistant chief coordinator of the Penitentiary Police, Pompey Falzarano and the prison police officer, Carmine Rega, all defended by lawyers Vittorio Fucci and Cosimo Servodio.
The proceedings were conducted in the form of a preliminary hearing, at the end of which the GUP, Dr. Di Carlo, accepting the thesis of the Lawyers Vittorio Fucci and Cosimo Servodio, acquitted the three members of the Penitentiary Police with a ruling of no case to answer.
The three were accused, to varying degrees, of ideological falsehood and aggravated private violence, crimes which, according to the prosecution's theory, were perpetrated against a prisoner in Airola juvenile prison. The GUP, however, considering the accusation to be unfounded, ordered that no proceedings be brought.
