The symbolic check, for the sum of 93 thousand euros, donated by PAC 2000A Conad to the Foundation, was delivered this morning Santobono Pausilipon Onlus to contribute to the creation of a research area in the Aorn Santobono Pausilipon Hospital in Naples.
The setting up of new laboratories will allow research activities on pediatric diseases and the development of experimental therapies. The funds were raised with the activity “With all your heart, collect gestures of love” promoted by Conad in partnership with Goofi by Egan.
“It is with great pride – the words of Fabio Lupo, Campania Area Director of PAC 2000A Conad on the occasion of the delivery of the symbolic check – that this year too we have chosen to give our contribution to the Aorn Santobono Pausilipon Hospital, which since its foundation has carefully taken care of the health of pediatric and neonatal patients, carrying out important clinical and experimental research activities to find new treatments.
It is through collection activities such as the one conducted at the end of 2022 in all Conad stores, in addition to numerous other solidarity initiatives, that we concretely support the communities in which we operate, making them feel our closeness.
The commitment of our cooperative is realized every day in simple gestures like this, possible only thanks to the precious support of our customers and Members, who work every day to generate shared value for the territories and build a better future”.
The initiative, conducted at a national level by Conad, has allowed the donation of over 2,2 million euros to 25 Italian hospitals to support pediatric departments. The collection, consisting of 12 Goofi, is made of 100% recycled Abs and designed by Italian artisans to support and enhance local companies.
This initiative is part of a project to support pediatric departments that was already launched at a national level in December 2021 and which had allowed, through the activity 'With all my heart for a great solidarity project', a donation of 1,9 million euros.
