Instead it comes back Cyrus Borriello, former mayor from 2007 to 2012 and from 2014 to 2017, the latter experience ended prematurely due to his arrest for alleged bribes also linked to the waste collection service.
For this affair, Borriello is still on trial on charges of corruption. Also for this, Brothers of Italy in recent weeks has denied him support: the party of Giorgia Meloni will not be in the running, even if the local leaders have decided to run on lists that support Borriello.
The centre-left nominates Mennella, a civic project for Caldarola
The former mayor can count on the support of Forza Italy, UDC and other six civic lists. The centre-left, also strengthened by the presence in the coalition of Movement 5 Stars, instead nominates the criminal lawyer Luigi Mennella, with several experiences in the city council behind him.
In total, eleven lists make up his coalition: in addition to M5S and to his party, the Democratic Party, Mennella is also supported by Democratic Alliance, Environmentalist Civic Left, green europe and by others civic lists.
It is a totally civic project instead that focuses on Louis Caldarola, municipal councilor in the last two administrative experiences (both started in the majority and ended in opposition).
