100 kilos of cigarettes in two garages, all without the seals of the State monopolies. This is the discovery of the Carabinieri of the Marano section of Napoli and of the tenancy of Melito.
Ending up in handcuffs Francis Rinaldi, a 29-year-old from Melitta and already known to the police.
The premises searched were used by Rinaldi to store cartons of “blondes” to place on the black market. The load was seized and the 29-year-old was arrested. He is now under house arrest awaiting trial.
Not only this during a 24-hour check carried out by the military of the Marano company in the city of Melito. Also in trouble was a 21-year-old from the place, with no criminal record, caught on the street with a switchblade knife in his pockets. He was charged with illegal possession of weapons and the blade was confiscated.
There is no shortage of narcotics. Arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing Matthew Tortora, a 20-year-old Neapolitan already known to the police. During a search of the street, the military found 26 sticks of hashish and 7 bags of marijuana.
Also in his pocket was 225 euros in cash, considered to be illicit proceeds. Tortora ended up in prison and is waiting to tell the judge his version of the facts.
