A march with the city schools and a debate on “Music and Legality”. The event is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, May 25, at 9:30 in Sant'Antonio Abate and was organized in collaboration with the students of the “Mosè Mascolo” comprehensive institute and the sports associations of the area, as part of the “Month of Abatese Culture”.
“To restart decisively on the issue of legality – says Ilaria Abagnale, mayor of Sant'Antonio Abate – we need good practices, awareness and education, involving the youngest, students and schools. In recent weeks I have noticed that in Sant'Antonio Abate there is great interest among young people in these issues, a good sign for the entire community that is reacting at all levels. This event will be a great opportunity for them, who will be able to discuss with those who are actively involved in affirming the principles of legality”.
The mini-procession is scheduled to start from Piazza della Libertà and the marching students will reach the Natural Park. There, a meeting-debate on “Music and Legality” is scheduled in the presence of Ilaria Abagnale, mayor of Sant'Antonio Abate; Don Tonino Palmese, president of the Polis foundation; Pasquale Del Prete, president of Fai Antiracket Ercolano; Francesco Soviero, deputy prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor's Office of Salerno; Francesco Saverio Patrizio, headmaster of the “Mosè Mascolo” comprehensive institute. The headmasters of the institutes in the area will also take part in the meeting. Exactly one year ago, the first anti-racket march took place in the streets of Sant'Antonio Abate, a walk to say “no” to the Camorra in a very difficult moment for the town of Sant'Antonio Abate.
“This demonstration will also serve to reiterate a very specific concept that this administration has demonstrated with the constitution of the Municipality of Sant'Antonio Abate as a civil party in two delicate trials: nhey – concludes Ilaria Abagnale – we are and will always be close to those who choose to report and, when there was a need to set a good example, we did not hesitate".
