The show Il coraggio della prima nota, Finalist at the Dante Cappelletti Prize 2022 at the Teatro India in Rome, brings to the stage the theme of memory and the power of music. Written and performed by the Irpinian actor and author Rocco Tedeschi, directed by Luca Staiano and Lorena Sarra De Gregorio, it will debut on June 29 at the
Teatro Trianon Viviani hosted by the Osservatorio section of the Campania Teatro Festival 2023, with the artistic direction of Ruggero Cappuccio.
Lo spettacolo
Irpinia, November 26, 1980. Antonio is the voice, body, and memory of the slow disappearance of a world whose paradigm is the disastrous event that frames the entire narrative: the Irpinia earthquake of November 23, 1980. He cannot know what happened to his loved ones, and above all he does not know what happened to that son who was about to be born shortly before the catastrophic event. Thus, through an imaginary dialogue, the son becomes a silent, distant and unaware referent of a will to live, of a will not to abandon oneself to the darkness.
