The presentation of the book by Enrico Cardillo, Antimo Manzo, Italo Talia, entitled “Napoli, la città sospesa”, published by Rubettino, with a preface by Antonio Polito, will be held on Monday 3 July, at 17 pm, in Naples at the Cafè del Teatro San Carlo.
It was presented by Federica Brancaccio (President of Ance), Enzo d'Errico (director of Corriere del Mezzogiorno), Paolo Macry (professor emeritus of Contemporary History at the Federico II University), Gaetano Manfredi (Mayor of Naples) and Paolo Scudieri (CEO of the Adler Pelzer Group).
The essay by Enrico Cardillo, Antimo Manzo, Italo Talia entitled "Naples, the suspended city. Mayors, administrations and companies from the post-war period to today" (Rubbettino Editore) with the preface by Antonio Polito, reconstructing the administrative, economic, territorial and electoral events from the time of Achille Lauro to the mayor Gaetano Manfredi, highlights the persistence of a weak civic conscience, the lack of a city elite promoting development and modernization, the inadequacy of the political class.
