Last night the agents of the General Prevention Office and the Police Station Dante Alighieri, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Centre, intervened in the National Museum square for a report of an attack by a citizen.
The police officers, arriving on the scene, found a man lying unconscious on the ground while he was being helped by 118 personnel and then taken to the hospital.
Shortly after, the operators, thanks to the descriptions provided by the applicant, tracked down the attacker in Piazza Dante with clothes that showed clear traces of blood and stopped him.
They subsequently ascertained that the latter had attacked the man by hitting him violently on the head for trivial reasons. A 33-year-old Moroccan man has been arrested for attempted murder.
