Carinaro, the Carabinieri seize equipment and waste in artisan workshops

The military personnel belonging to the Carabinieri Forestale Nucleus of marcianise (CE), during checks aimed at combating crimes against the environment, in collaboration with personnel from the ARPAC Department of Caserta, they subjected to inspection a company, with an artisan workshop in the industrial area of ​​the municipality of Carinaro (CE), dedicated to the design, construction and installation of scenography for public and private premises.

The inspection highlighted the construction of an uncontrolled deposit of different types of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste indiscriminately mixed together in the adjacent external square.

Instead, inside the artisan workshop it was found that an activity similar to carpentry, painting and welding was being carried out, which was found to be without any authorisation for emissions into the atmosphere.

In light of what was ascertained, the aforementioned military personnel proceeded with the preventive seizure of the waste and equipment found therein, reporting the company's directors, at liberty, for the crimes of illicit management of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste and for the production of atmospheric emissions deriving from the exercise of carpentry and painting activities without the required authorization.

Finally, administrative violations were also contested for an amount of approximately 15.000 euros for the failure to communicate annually the waste produced (MUD) and failure to keep the register of loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
