While waiting for Francesco Pumitallo, 29 years old from Capodrise, who yesterday killed his mother Patrizia Vella Lombardi (known by the name of Rosa), originally from Marcianise, aged 56, to appear before the investigating judge, the Public Prosecutor Dr. Giacomo Urbano has seized the body of the poor victim and has ordered an autopsy in which Francesco Plumitallo's lawyers Raffaele and Gaetano Crisileo will be present.
The PM has appointed Dr. Omero Pinto of the University of Caserta as the forensic medical expert, where tests will be carried out on Rosa's body between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow to ascertain the causes of death and to determine whether the version given by the young man during questioning by the PM is true, that is, that death occurred by strangulation.
The young man is currently in a special section of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison and is being monitored closely by the prison police as it is feared that - given his very precarious health conditions - he might commit an act of self-harm.
Francesco, who had been treated for some time at the Mental Health Center in Marcianise, and first by a well-known psychiatrist in Casagione, immediately after the fatal act committed, called the police and then in the presence of the public prosecutor Dr. Giacomo Urbano and his lawyers, the Crisileo attorneys, described his confession to the Magistrate of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
Francesco, in tears, repenting of the extreme gesture he had committed against his mother, reconstructed the scene of the murder, sobbing and saying that he had strangled her by grabbing her by the arm and that everything had happened in a moment of rage and mental confusion in which he had no longer understood anything.
He was practically not himself because that morning he had not taken the drugs that the doctor from the DSM had prescribed him. He added that he had been under treatment for some time at the Mental Health Center of Marcianise and at the same time with a well-known psychiatrist from Casagiove.
We are currently waiting for the hearing to validate the arrest and a possible order of custody in prison. In the meantime, the body of the poor victim has been seized and after the autopsy, the date of the funeral will be set.
