The Naples Police Chief has adopted ten measures, instructed by the Anti-Crime Police Division of the Police Headquarters, to ban access to sports events (DASPO), lasting five years, against as many German fans, between the ages of 21 and 47, who, on Tuesday evening, were responsible for serious disorder in some streets of the historic center of the city of Naples. In particular in the area of Piazza Dante and Via Monteoliveto, together with numerous German "ultras" present in this capital to attend the Champions League football match Napoli-Union Berlin played, yesterday evening, at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium; for these reasons, the aforementioned were arrested by DIGOS agents for the crime of devastation.
In particular, the same people, after having refused to undergo the routine checks inside the railway station in Piazza Garibaldi, from around 20,40 pm, forming a compact group of around 300 supporters, dressed in a similar way and disguised with red bandanas with the aim, presumably, of evading their identification, committed serious acts of devastation and resistance, causing damage to parked cars, to the city's street furniture and repeatedly attacking the Police Force units with cobblestones, clubs, metal and wooden rods and by throwing firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices, also devastating a commercial establishment located in Piazza Dante.
