A Fiat 500 X had been stolen on January 16 in Giugliano, and the local carabinieri then began their investigations.
Although the car has not yet been recovered, a 19-year-old Scampia is strongly suspected of the theft. The Giugliano Carabinieri analyzed several shots from video surveillance systems, which allowed them to reconstruct the suspect's route to Scampia.
In the morning, the soldiers from the Giugliano company and their colleagues from Scampia searched the young man's house in the Primavera park, where they found and seized a jacket and some shoes that may have been used during the theft of the SUV.
Investigations to track down the SUV continue
Investigations are still ongoing to track down the stolen SUV or at least trace the entire chain of the gang that carried out the robbery.
