Not one, not two, but 40 stab wounds: an inexplicable fury. Pasquale Pinto, the 55-year-old former security guard, who yesterday killed his wife Ewa Kaminska, 48, originally from Sztum, Poland, before committing suicide after a long negotiation with the police, stabbed her with over forty wounds.
The tragedy has left the neighborhood of San Giovanni a Teduccio in suspense yesterday morning. After killing his wife, Pinto, armed with a pistol, fired several shots from the window, including at the police.
The couple's three children, a 14-year-old girl and two boys aged 16 and 18, two of whom were at school at the time of the tragedy and a third on a school trip, have been entrusted to a psychologist for support.
It was Lino, as he was called by everyone in the neighborhood, the former security guard, who accompanied his children to school. To determine the causes of death of the 48-year-old, we are waiting for the results of the autopsy: most likely, he committed suicide by taking drugs, perhaps diluted in a bottle from which he was often seen drinking yesterday.

The Flying Squad of Napoli interviewed witnesses and it turned out that the family was struggling financially. Pinto had recently lost his job. However, their house was perfectly tidy, clean and organized.
