The displaced people of via Palermo in Villaricca took to the streets in the pouring rain to protest against their failure to return to their apartments, two years after being forced to abandon them due to a sinkhole.
The 30 families involved sent their images to MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, asking for help in resolving the situation.
Although work on the homes was completed months ago, a bureaucratic problem is delaying the return of residents.
Borrelli expressed his solidarity with the families of villaricca, underlining the importance of speeding up the checks and the times of release of the seizure of the area by the Prosecutor's Office of North Naples, to allow families to return to their homes as soon as possible.
“17 months ago a sinkhole opened up at via Palermo 68, my house is there … and like me many other families are involved who have been evicted from their homes. 17 months away from home, when problems of this kind have been resolved in a few months, but here we do nothing but procrastinate: the municipality, the prosecutor's office and other state bodies do not optimize the times and there is little interest in finding a solution to this matter”, protested one of the displaced people.
