The displaced people of via Palermo in Villaricca took to the streets in the pouring rain to protest against their failure to return to their apartments, two years after being forced to abandon them due to a sinkhole.
The 30 families involved sent their images to MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, asking for help in resolving the situation.
Although work on the homes was completed months ago, a bureaucratic problem is delaying the return of residents.
Borrelli expressed his solidarity with the families of Villaricca , underlining the importance of speeding up the checks and the time required for the release of the area by the North Naples Prosecutor's Office, to allow the families to return to their homes as soon as possible.
“17 months ago, a sinkhole opened up at Via Palermo 68, my house is located there… and many other families, like me, who have been evicted from their homes, are affected. 17 months out of their homes, when problems of this kind were resolved in just a few months, but here we do nothing but procrastinate: the municipality, the prosecutor's office, and other state agencies are not optimizing the time and there is little interest in finding a solution to the issue ,” protested one of the displaced people.
