The Rock train in the “The Legend of Zelda” livery was presented this morning at Naples Central Station, the first train in the world dedicated to the legendary video game saga that will take fans and enthusiasts to Comicon Naples, one of the largest cross-media festivals in the world currently taking place at the Mostra d'Oltremare until April 28.
Born from the special collaboration between Regionale di Trenitalia and Nintendo Italia, the Rock train has traveled over the past few months on a journey that has led it to stop at the stations of some of the most evocative Italian destinations, significantly reminiscent of the spectacular settings that made first The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and then Tears of the Kingdom itself, two open-world adventures that were nothing short of revolutionary for the video game industry.
The tribute train, dedicated to the latest chapter in The Legend of Zelda saga, stopped at platform 12 to welcome fans who were able to board the customized vehicle. The inauguration conference was attended by Ermanno Russo, Regional Revenue Development Manager Trenitalia; Mario Cuoco, Regional Director Campania; Francesca Prandoni, Senior PR Manager of Nintendo Italia and Carlo Cigliano, CEO Comicon.
Subsequently, carriage 3 was opened to the public, internally set up with references to the settings and the most striking moments of the video game. Furthermore, still inside the liveried train, a meet & greet was held with the creator GiosephTheGamer and the two illustrators Wallie and Quasirosso, who presented their works dedicated respectively to the protagonists Link and Zelda, created exclusively to celebrate the union between the latest adventure of the two heroes and the Neapolitan capital. The illustrations in fact reproduce iconic elements of the Campania landscape and easter eggs on the theme of travel, inserted in the dreamlike context that made The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, one of the most loved video games of 2023.
