An escalation of violence has shaken the city of Aversa late yesterday evening.
A 30-year-old man of Egyptian origins spread panic among the young people who were in Via Archeologia, brandishing a stick and threatening anyone who came within range.
Alerted by calls from some terrified citizens, the Carabinieri intervened promptly, blocking the attacker and disarming him.
The investigations allowed us to reconstruct a scene straight out of a horror movie: the man, without any apparent reason, attacked a group of boys, hitting a minor from the Aversa countryside on the head with a glass bottle.
The young man, seriously injured, he was rushed to the hospital, where he was hospitalized under observation. Fortunately, his condition is not critical.
The 30-year-old, already known to the police, was reported at large for carrying objects capable of causing offence and causing personal injury.
The episode has sparked outrage and concern in the Aversa community, which is calling for greater security and controls.
