After a series of targeted stakeouts, a van was stopped whose driver had transformed the Silver Shovel, a sports facility abandoned for years in the Fuorigrotta district, in a rubbish dump personal.
The driver, a 65-year-old Neapolitan with a specific criminal record for environmental crimes, was caught red-handed while abandoning waste consisting of demolition inert materials at the site located in Viale Giochi del MediterraneanThe man turned out to be a repeat offender, and authorities immediately seized the van used in the crime.
The man was reported to the judicial authorities under Article 256 of the Consolidated Environmental Act, which punishes the abandonment of waste.
