The Daumar Youth Club of Barcelona – an association that promotes and draws inspiration, in respect of pluralism, from the teachings of Saint Josemaría, founder of Opus Dei – visits the Real Sito of Carditello. An important initiative of the Real Sito di Carditello Foundation, within the volunteer program promoted by the Un'Infanzia Da Vivere association – directed by Bruno Mazza and associated with the Fondazione con il Sud – in the Parco Verde of Caivano (Naples), with the support of the Grimaldi Foundation.
Since 1958, the Spanish youth association has promoted the culture and integral formation of young people and children, providing tools for personal, professional and spiritual development, and starting from a joyful and Christian vision of life to affirm the sanctification of professional work and daily commitments.
“In line with the values of the Daumar Club – explains the president of the Foundation, Maurizio Maddaloni – we decided to host these young volunteers in Carditello to share our development model and the universal values that animate our community, in the name of legality, social inclusion and environmental sustainability".
The Bourbon Palace is a true symbol of rebirth and redemption for the entire territory, but above all it is an "open" institution that encourages comparison and dialogue among young people. "Carditello is not only a remarkable historical, artistic and environmental heritage, but it represents a stronghold of legality and a true monument of peace, establishing itself as a point of reference for all active citizens. Our commitment is constantly aimed at training a new generation of ecotourists, with a great sense of responsibility, solidarity and awareness".
“A mission – concludes Maurizio Maddaloni – which in the future will produce concrete effects not only in our cultural institution, but also in the territory and in the civic conscience of all visitors". The volunteering project in the Green Park of Caivano It includes a tour of Naples and the organization of a summer camp for children (aged 7 to 12) of this community, offering educational, sports and recreational activities.
