A strong earthquake of magnitude 3.6 was felt this morning in the Campi Flegrei area.
The shock was localized at a depth of 2 km. The earthquake was localized by the INGV-OV Operations Room (Naples).
The earthquake occurred at 8.08 and was clearly felt by the population not only in Campi Flegrei but also in some neighborhoods of Naples. Many people took to the streets.
From the center to Fuorigrotta, the earthquake was clearly felt in several neighborhoods of the Neapolitan capital, especially on the higher floors. Many on social media are reporting that they also felt the shock in Soccavo, Pianiura and Vomero.
For months the entire Phlegraean area has been subject to seismic activity, generating panic among the population. The earthquake was followed by other aftershocks.
