The Nocera Jazz Festival 2024 is preparing to offer a series of unmissable events, with concerts ranging from Brazilian sounds to Afro-American and contemporary jazz. On Friday, July 12, at the Fienga Park Castle, the festival will kick off a special evening dedicated to Brazil. African American Jazz
On Saturday, July 13, the Cortile Curia Vescovile will host a free evening dedicated to African-American jazz, with the James Brandon Lewis trio. Considered one of the most creative young talents in jazz, Lewis has studied all phases of contemporary American music, from gospel to fusion, from rap to free jazz. Accompanied by Josh Werner on electric bass and Chat Taylor on drums, the concert promises overwhelming sounds that will traverse the history and innovation of African-American jazz.
Contemporary Jazz
On Tuesday 16 July we will return to the Castello del Parco Fienga for an evening of contemporary jazz, thanks to the trio composed of Christian Sands on piano, Yasushi Nakamura on bass and Ryan Sands on drums. With his album “Be Water”, released in 2020, Sands explores the possibilities offered by the fluidity and malleability of water, consolidating himself as a key figure in the contemporary jazz scene. His career, already rich in prestigious collaborations, promises a performance that combines roots and innovation, paying homage to the history of jazz while looking to the future of the genre. The Nocera Jazz Festival 2024 is therefore an unmissable event for all music lovers, offering a variety of concerts that celebrate the different nuances of jazz music.
