Brazilian Night

On Friday, July 12, at the Fienga Park Castle, the festival will kick off a special evening dedicated to Brazil. The evening will feature Dea Gil with Neney Santos, followed by the Brazilian Quartet accompanied by Philippe Powell and with special guests Jaques & Paula Morelenbaum. Dea Gil, a multifaceted artist from São Paulo, is known for her deep voice and her ability to engage the audience. Philippe Powell, a French-Brazilian pianist and composer, has collaborated with world-renowned artists and will offer the audience an unforgettable performance. The Brazilian Quartet, composed of Matheus Donato, Gerson Saeki, Maurício Melo, together with Jaques & Paula Morelenbaum, will enrich the evening with their extraordinary performances.

African American Jazz

On Saturday, July 13, the Cortile Curia Vescovile will host a free evening dedicated to African-American jazz, with the James Brandon Lewis trio. Considered one of the most creative young talents in jazz, Lewis has studied all phases of contemporary American music, from gospel to fusion, from rap to free jazz. Accompanied by Josh Werner on electric bass and Chat Taylor on drums, the concert promises overwhelming sounds that will traverse the history and innovation of African-American jazz.

Contemporary Jazz

On Tuesday 16 July we will return to the Castello del Parco Fienga for an evening of contemporary jazz, thanks to the trio composed of Christian Sands on piano, Yasushi Nakamura on bass and Ryan Sands on drums. With his album “Be Water”, released in 2020, Sands explores the possibilities offered by the fluidity and malleability of water, consolidating himself as a key figure in the contemporary jazz scene. His career, already rich in prestigious collaborations, promises a performance that combines roots and innovation, paying homage to the history of jazz while looking to the future of the genre. The Nocera Jazz Festival 2024 is therefore an unmissable event for all music lovers, offering a variety of concerts that celebrate the different nuances of jazz music.
