Naples enthusiastically welcomes “Stories of the Past, Voices of the Present”, a work published by Graus Edizioni that brings to light the experiences of extraordinary women of the past and present.
The text
This book is a mosaic of stories that cross history with a common thread: the strength, stubbornness and resilience of women. The pages of “Stories of the Past, Voices of the Present” allow the reader to meet iconic female figures such as Giovanna “the madwoman”, Margherita Hack, Raffaella Carrà, Matilde Serao, Lenuccia, Frida Kahlo, Jane Austen and Maria Teresa Borbone Habsburg Teschen. Through the words of writers, singers, warriors, scientists, sovereigns and painters, the book transports the reader into a universe of life, legends, truth and reality.
“Stories of the Past, Voices of the Present” is a tribute to all the women who fight every day against a society that often tries to marginalize them. The ten stories in the work go beyond gender stereotypes, highlighting female courage and boldness. The narration not only supports and encourages, but also offers a clear message: to treasure past stories in our present, because they are more relevant than ever.
