Naples. Yet another case of child exploitation for begging purposes.

As part of the activities to protect vulnerable groups such as minors and the elderly, yesterday the personnel of the Naples Local Police Department of the Investigative, Environmental and Social Emergencies Unit intervened in the Vomero neighborhood following a report on the alleged exploitation of minors for begging.

And he caught an 8-year-old minor who, under the coercion of her grandmother – both are of Roma-Serbian ethnicity – was begging in the streets of the area.

The child was taken away from her grandmother who was reported to the judicial authorities pursuant to paragraph 8 of art. 600 and for resisting a public official.

Furthermore, the agents, following in-depth investigations, found that there was a note on the same for irregularities on the national territory.

The little girl, by order of the juvenile court, was entrusted to her mother who arrived on site after being tracked down by the local police.

Again, the Investigative personnel (IAES) during the checks on the territory arranged by the command near via Verdi, noticed two individuals on board a motorcycle who were moving around suspiciously in the motorcycle parking area.

Suspicious, they stopped and identified them: from the checks carried out, they turned out to be two Neapolitans aged 50 with criminal records for theft and burglary.

After a careful check, the officers found shears, hammers and other tools suitable for theft and burglary under the seat of their vehicle. Both subjects were reported to the judicial authorities.
