Naples - The six members of the Mazzarella clan arrested three days ago on charges of kidnapping and violence remain in prison. Among the six is the one who is today indicated as the area boss in San Giovanni a Teduccio, namely Salvatore Giannetti, 43 years old, nicknamed 'o scorpione.

Also sent to prison with him were his brother-in-law, Antonio Martori, 42 years old, Arturo Lama, 54 years old, Mario Amaro, 38 years old, Giuseppe Ciccarelli, 37 years old and Salvatore De Filippo, 43 years old.
The story
The six are accused of beating, kidnapping and threatening to kill Vincenzo Vaccaro and his accountant Andrea Grammatikas last week. The former had rented a powerful Audi for three days paying a thousand euros knowing that he was going to carry out a scam.
The man, burdened by debts, had spoken about it with his accountant and the two had decided to rent a powerful car and then resell it on the black market.
After the rental, extended for another two days, because they had not found a buyer, they had managed to sell the car to a North African citizen in the Poggioreale area for 10 thousand euros. Of these 7500 had been collected by Vaccaro and the remaining 2500 euros had gone to the accountant.
But the two had not reckoned with who they were dealing with: the car dealership is owned by people linked to the Mazzarella clan. After another clumsy attempt by Vaccaro to extend the car rental for another day to gain time and get the car to North Africa, the trouble began.
The owners of the car rental company realized that the car was missing because the GPS no longer showed signs of life and therefore asked for its return.
Vaccaro, after an initial hesitation, was brought before Salvatore Giannetti in a house on Via Castagnola in San Giovanni a Teduccio. This is the tenor of the threats.
“Give us the car or pay us 80 thousand euros. You dug your own grave”
“Give us the car right now! Didn't you know that the car belongs to the Mazzarellas?” “I don't care if you didn't know. You sold the car to yourself, and now either you pay me for it or you tell me who you gave it to, so we can go and get it back. Because we are the Mazzarella, and we get everywhere!”
“Tell your partner that you are with us. You give us back the car and you go home on your own two feet, otherwise, if the car or the money doesn't turn up, we'll lock you in a basement together with Andrea until one of your relatives brings us the value of the car: 80.000 euros!”
“You're a cuckold! You knew the car belonged to the Mazzarellas!” “Look, Andrea's been getting beaten up since this morning. He says you knew perfectly well that the car belonged to us and that he didn't receive any compensation.”
Luckily for the two, who had been beaten in the meantime, a relative warned them police who broke into the apartment and captured the six and freed the two kidnapped people.
Yesterday they all appeared before the investigating judge and availed themselves of the right to remain silent. The defense team included lawyers Diego Pedicini, Luigi Poziello, Giuseppe Milazzo and Alessandro Pignataro.

It's incredible how certain situations can happen in a city like Naples. People should have more respect for the lives of others and not solve problems in this violent way. I hope that justice takes its course.
