Explorations at the Museum
The Royal Palace of Caserta will offer art and culture enthusiasts the opportunity to visit the Palatine Chapel, the Royal Apartments, with the recently restored Halls of Astrea, Mars and Throne, and the Grand Gallery. The latter, an entire wing made accessible to the public only last March, currently hosts the exhibitions “Visioni” and “Marco Bagnoli. La pietra il sol rivegga alla Reggia di Caserta”.
Art Exhibitions
“Visioni” collects two photographic campaigns created by Luciano D'Inverno and Luciano Romano, with a particular focus on the work and creative genius of Luigi Vanvitelli, between architecture and landscape. The project “Marco Bagnoli. La pietra il sol rivegga alla Reggia di Caserta”, selected through the Call for Participatory Valorization of the Reggia di Caserta, is curated by the Giorgio Persano gallery and Studio Trisorio. In the III courtyard, visitors will be able to admire “Locus Solis”, an installation almost five meters high, together with eleven other works exhibited in the rooms of the Gran Galleria.
The Royal Park
Il Royal Park, con i suoi 123 ettari, sarà pronto ad accogliere i visitatori offrendo spazi di frescura e relax. All’interno del Bosco vecchio e della Pineta, situati sui margini destro e sinistro della parte iniziale del Parco, è possibile beneficiare della ricca vegetazione e concedersi momenti di tranquillità sulle praterie ombreggiate. Il parco sarà aperto dalle 8.30 alle 19, con ultimo accesso alle 18.
English Garden and Services
Anche il prezioso English garden sarà visitabile per tutto il periodo, con orario dalle 8.30 alle 18 e ultimo accesso alle 17. Per preservare questi luoghi fragili e il delicato ecosistema, si invita il pubblico a rispettare l’ambiente, evitando di calpestare prati, toccare piante e fiori, o dar da mangiare agli animali.
Additional Services
During the entire period, various catering services will be available at the café/buvette in the Cannocchiale, at the kiosk and at the “Diana e Atteone” restaurant near the Fountain on the Waterway in the Royal Park. It will also be possible to rent bicycles, use the shuttle service and golf cart at the entrance to the Royal Park. The bookshop will be open on the ground floor of the west wing of the Royal Palace (III courtyard). The Court Theatre will remain closed.
