During an operation conducted by officers from the Ariano Irpino State Police Station in the province of Avellino, two young men were arrested on charges of drug trafficking and receiving stolen goods.
The arrests took place in the parking lot of a shopping center, where the two were traveling in a rental car. During the search, 200 grams of hashish and ten grams of cocaine were discovered inside a soccer ball. The narcotics were hidden inside the ball, which had been injected with polyurethane foam to disguise its contents.
In addition, two smartphones with their chargers were found, probably stolen. The Public Prosecutor's Office Benevento, informed of the facts, ordered the adult suspect to be transferred to the Ariano Irpino prison. Regarding the minor involved, the authorities decided to transfer him to the Colli Aminei Juvenile Center in Naples, reserving the right to investigate his case further in the coming days.
