During an operation conducted by agents of the State Police Station of Ariano Irpino, in the province of Avellino, two young people were arrested on charges of illicit drug trafficking and receiving stolen goods.
The arrests took place in the parking lot of a shopping center, where the two were on board a rented car. During the inspection, 200 grams of hashish and ten grams of cocaine were discovered inside a soccer ball. The narcotics were hidden in the ball, into which polyurethane foam had been injected to camouflage the contents.
In addition, two smartphones with their chargers were found, probably stolen. The Public Prosecutor's Office Benevento, informed of the facts, ordered that the adult suspect be transferred to the prison of Ariano Irpino. As for the minor involved, the authorities decided to transfer him to the Juvenile Center of Colli Aminei in Naples, reserving the right to investigate his position in the coming days.
