The Carabinieri dismantled a drug dealing operation in Sturno, in the heart of the Avellino area, leading to the arrest of three individuals. The operation was the culmination of a lengthy investigation, conducted by the chief prosecutor of Avellino, Domenico Airoma. Four other individuals are currently under investigation at large.
The criminal group specialized in the distribution of small quantities of narcotics, including hashish, heroin, crack and cobret. These substances were purchased in the Naples area and then distributed to customers living in the Ufita Valley and Medio Calore.
The investigation began over a year ago, in November 2022, with the arrest of a pusher associated with the organization. Since then, law enforcement has begun an in-depth analysis of the drug dealing network, which then led to today's developments.
