Francesco Tiberio Tower, 65 years old, cousin of the well-known boss Augusto La Torre, was arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of being the head of a criminal organization dedicated to extortion.The investigation, coordinated by the DDA of Napoli, has brought to light a long list of alleged victims, including entrepreneurs, shopkeepers and even a cooperative that manages paid parking. The extortion demands, often accompanied by serious death threats, would have earned La Torre tens of thousands of euros.

Among the most illustrious victims is also the regional councilor Giovanni Zannini, from whom La Torre allegedly asked for a bribe of 50 thousand euros. A very serious accusation that casts a shadow on local politics.
