NAPLES – Four members of CasaPound have been sent to trial by the Naples preliminary hearing judge for the attack, which took place in October 2023, on Roberto Tarallo, a 44-year-old musician and photographer. The victim, targeted for a pin with an anti-fascist logo pinned to his jacket, was at the center of an episode of violence that shocked public opinion.
The preliminary hearing judge's decision follows the request made by the public prosecutor Fabrizio Vanorio, who contested the defendants' aggravating circumstance of nationalist discrimination. An accusation that underlines the ideological matrix of the episode, framing it as a case of violence linked to political intolerance.
The investigation, conducted by the Digos, led last January to three arrests and a mandatory residence order. Vittorio Acuto, Paolo Primerano and Taras Buha, a Ukrainian citizen, were arrested and transferred to prison, while Roberto Acuto, Vittorio's brother, was subjected to a ban on residence in the province of Napoli.
