A daring chase enlivened the streets of Torre Annunziata yesterday. The Carabinieri of the radiomobile section were in fact patrolling along via Vittorio Veneto when their attention was drawn to a car with a covered license plate. On board the vehicle, a black Fiat Panda, were three young people, respectively 22, 21 and 19 years old.

The pursuit
Noticing the presence of the military, the three occupants of the car attempted to escape the controls. This resulted in a chase breathtaking that continued until Piazza Risorgimento, near the train station. Here, the carabinieri managed to block the vehicle and put an end to the escape of the three young people, already known to the police.
Material seized
Following the search of the vehicle, the military found several tools that led to the immediate arrest of the three. Among the material in their possession were two balaclavas, gloves, a screwdriver, a switchblade and a replica gun of a Glock, without the red safety cap. The individuals are now awaiting trial on charges of resisting a public official and illegal possession of a weapon.
