Naples. Five 9×21 caliber shells on the pavement of via Oronzo Costa, in the heart of Forcella. It is the unmistakable sign of a “stesa”, yet another episode that brings back into the limelight an area sadly known for the Camorra war between the Sibillo clan of Tribunali and the Buonerba of Forcella.
Around 3 a.m., the sound of the shots woke up the residents, but no one immediately alerted the police. A police patrol arrived on the scene shortly after, starting the investigation. The forensic team found the shell casings, noting that the shots did not cause any injuries or damage.
According to the first investigative hypotheses, the episode could be an intimidation aimed at the Buonerbas, nicknamed “the long-haired ones”. The history of the street leaves no doubt about the shadow of the Camorra: until 2019, night-time roadside patrols were a dramatic normality, and the neighborhood was the scene of violent clashes between rival clans, culminating with the murder of Emanuele Sibillo on July 2, 2015.
A past that comes back to scare
The death of the young ras, known as “Ex17”, marked a turning point in the war between the Sibillo, allies of the Contini, and the Buonerba, linked to the Mazzarella. The assassination occurred during a firefight in the heart of enemy territory, but did not put an end to the fighting: the shooting continued for years, before a sudden truce. Yesterday's episode reopens wounds that have never completely healed.
Via Oronzo Costa, a closed road with no cameras, represents a challenge for the investigators of the Flying Squad, supported by their colleagues from the UPG. They are looking for useful images in the surrounding area and testimonies that can confirm the presence of at least two individuals on a scooter, protagonists of the intimidating action.
Although those responsible for Sibillo's murder are all in prison, the Camorra does not stop. Naples is well aware of the continuous turnover in the clans: the actions of the police, coordinated by the Anti-Mafia District Directorate, have weakened the main organizations, but the risk of a resumption of violence is always present.
Hypotheses on the motive
In addition to the trail of a warning to the Good grass, investigators do not exclude another hypothesis: a personal quarrel between a resident of the area and an outsider, not necessarily linked to one of the historic clans. The panorama of Neapolitan organized crime has evolved in recent years, and the past remains a reference, but not the only one.
One thing is certain: the caliber of the bullets and the dynamics of the action confirm the Camorra origin. The episode reports Fork under the spotlight, with the fear that the apparent calm of recent years could be shattered.

This is a very interesting article, but it makes me think that the situation never changes in Naples. The war between clans seems to never end, and the people of Forcella live in constant fear. Let's hope that the authorities can do something to stop all this.
