Naples – Local Police operation in several neighborhoods of the city, with interventions that involved the rescue of animals in difficulty and the strengthening of controls on the road and in the commercial sector.
In Secondigliano, officers found two abandoned dogs. The owner, in serious financial difficulty and the recipient of an eviction order, was no longer able to care for the animals. With the support of ASL veterinarians, a microchip was applied to one of the two dogs and hygiene and health measures were adopted to ensure their well-being. The authorities are evaluating possible forms of assistance for the woman.
In the neighborhood of Chiaia, in Piazza Amedeo, traffic police checks were carried out on 20 vehicles. The checks led to the withdrawal of three licenses for serious violations, two suspensions from circulation and an administrative detention. 11 violations of the Highway Code were also contested for lack of documentation, driving without a seat belt and use of electronic devices while driving.
Also in the San Giuseppe-Porto neighborhood, between via Medina, via Monteoliveto and via Diaz, 18 vehicles were checked, with three administrative seizures, three administrative stops and five licenses withdrawn for violations that lead to ordinary suspension.
An inter-force operation conducted in the Piscinola neighborhood led to the identification of 29 people, seven of whom had police records. During the checks, three vehicles were seized and three licenses withdrawn, with numerous fines for failure to have a vehicle inspected, driving without a license, and improper use of a helmet.
During commercial checks in Secondigliano, a small business operating in the food sector was found to lack the necessary authorizations. The agents seized illegal displays and 25 counterfeit bags with brands of well-known fashion brands.
The operations are part of a strengthening of control activities by the Local Police to ensure safety and legality on the territory.
