The wave of bad weather that is hitting Campania shows no signs of abating. The regional Civil Protection, based on the analyses conducted by the Functional Center, has decided to extend the "Yellow" level weather alert for thunderstorms, already in force, for an additional 24 hours. The new deadline is set for 14:30 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, March XNUMX.
According to forecasts, the entire regional territory will be affected by thunderstorms, even of strong intensity and rapidly evolving. These are phenomena characterized by a marked forecast uncertainty, which could be accompanied by gusts of wind, hailstorms and lightning. Such condizioni could cause damage to roofs and coverings, as well as falling branches or trees.
Experts highlight a possible hydrogeological risk: among the most probable scenarios are floods, overflows, surface runoff and rising water levels.
Furthermore, landslides or falling rocks are not excluded. In the territories already hit by the rainfall of the past few days, a residual risk is reported that could manifest itself even without new rains.
Civil Protection appeals to pay attention
The Civil Protection has renewed its appeal to the mayors of the region, inviting them to keep the Municipal Operations Centers (COC) operational and to adopt all the measures provided for by the local civil protection plans. Maximum attention is also required in monitoring the warnings issued by the regional Unified Operations Room, to ensure a timely response to any emergencies.

It is important to pay attention to this weather forecast, but I feel like the information is a bit confusing. It is unclear if there will be only thunderstorms or other dangerous conditions as well. I hope everyone is prepared.
