To win a championship, you don't just need top players, you need head, legs and hunger. Ottavio Bianchi, the man who led Napoli to the first historic tricolor, knows this well. And today, while the race for the title heats up between the Azzurri and Inter, the former coach preaches balance and concentration.
"Until the finish line is crossed, anything can happen, the championship remains wide open", he declared. A warning that applies to everyone, but especially to those like Napoli who arrive at this end as protagonists. Bianchi underlines how, at this point in the season, all the members of the squad are fundamental: "There are no more starters or reserves, neither for Conte nor for Inzaghi. Whoever comes in must be decisive, especially if he has fewer minutes in his legs."
In the final rush, in fact, every detail makes the difference. "Physical condition is essential. A small injury to a key player and the performance of the entire group drops", explains Bianchi, who also calls for mental strength: «What counts is the desire to win, the determination, the hunger».
It is on draw against Genoa, which brought Inter closer to just one point, Bianchi sees no cause for alarm: "I don't think Napoli will feel the blow. Conte has always been cautious, he has been able to manage delicate moments and the team has balance. The calendar? It's in their hands. They just need to know how to exploit it."
