The 2025 Italian Super Cup has its dates and its adopted land: from December 17 to 22, the trophy will be played once again in Saudi Arabia. This was announced by Ezio Maria Simonelli, president of Lega Serie A, during the press conference following today's assembly. The four-team format has been confirmed, and this year too, Italian football will fly to the Middle East for one of the most followed events of the season.
The two semi-finals are scheduled for December 17 and 18, while the final will take place on the 22nd. The exact location has yet to be defined: “We don't know yet whether the match will be played in Riyadh or Jeddah – Simonelli explained – but it is likely that we will remain in the capital. Personally I would prefer Jeddah, but the decision is up to the local authorities."
The title will be contested by Napoli, champion of Italy, against Milan, finalist of the last Coppa Italia, and on the other side Inter and Bologna, respectively second in the championship and winner of the Cup. A high-intensity grid, which guarantees technical quality and historical rivalries, with the aim of giving prestige to an increasingly global event.
In the last edition, Milan had prevailed over Inter in a heart-pounding derby that ended 3-2. Today, with the confirmation of the “Final Four” format, the Super Cup It consolidates itself as an international event, supported by the rich agreements with Riyadh which bring visibility and crucial funds for Italian football.
