Naples: Funeral of the 22-year-old killed in the Giugliano accident in the Spanish Quarter

Naples – The funeral of Francesco Specchio, the 22-year-old Neapolitan who died on the morning of Tuesday, August 25, in a tragic road accident in Giugliano, along Via San Francesco a Patria, on the border with Qualiano, will be held this afternoon in the Spanish Quarter.

The final farewell to the young man is set for 15:30 pm in the Parish of Carmine alla Concordia, in the heart of the Spanish Quarter, where family, friends, and acquaintances will gather to bid Francesco a final farewell.

According to initial investigations, Francesco—a resident of Naples—was traveling toward Giugliano on a Benelli motorcycle when, for reasons yet to be determined, he lost control of the two-wheeler. The young man ended up off the road, suffering serious injuries. Despite the prompt intervention of emergency responders, there was nothing that could be done for him.

The accident occurred around 9:00 a.m., near the Gloria neighborhood, near Via Carrafiello. Giugliano Municipal Police officers and Carabinieri responded to the scene, carrying out the necessary investigations and reconstructing the exact circumstances of the accident.

At this time, the cause of the loss of control has not yet been clarified and no other vehicles have been directly involved.
