Drug dealing in Fuorigrotta: 18-year-old arrested with drugs and a knife

A young man was stopped by the State Police while trying to evade arrest and hiding narcotics and a knife, reporting a new drug dealing incident in the Fuorigrotta neighborhood.

State Police made an arrest in Fuorigrotta yesterday evening, investigating an alleged drug possession and dealing incident. Officers from the San Paolo Police Station, engaged in territorial control, observed an 18-year-old man attempting to evade a checkpoint on Via Renato Carosone by throwing an object into the vegetation.

The escape didn't last long: the boy was stopped inside a private parking lot, where he was found in possession of a knife with a blade impregnated with narcotics and cash totaling 350 euros, divided into banknotes of various denominations.

Law enforcement also recovered the abandoned substance: approximately 20 grams of marijuana in a cigarette pack, 8 grams of marijuana in a container, a wrap of hashish, and 14 wraps of cocaine for a total weight of approximately 6 grams, as well as various packaging materials.

In addition to the arrest for possession with intent to sell, the young man was also charged with possession of weapons and objects capable of causing harm. This incident once again underscores the need for constant vigilance in high-risk urban areas, where drug dealing continues to be a concern.
