In response to the shortage of blood supplies in hospitals, the Municipality of Salerno is organizing a blood drive on Friday, September 11, involving public employees and unions.

Salerno launches an urgent blood donation campaign in Piazza Amendola.
The Municipality of Salerno has organized a special blood drive for Friday, September 11th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in Piazza Amendola, where a camper van equipped for donations will be present.
The decision was made by the Department of Community Medicine and Health Prevention in response to the emergency situation detected in blood supplies at the city's hospitals. The initiative is a collaboration between the trade unions CGIL, CISL, UIL, and CSA, the Italian Red Cross – Salerno Committee, and the San Giovanni di Dio and Ruggi d'Aragona University Hospital.
The appeal is addressed not only to citizens but also to municipal employees and associated companies, with a possible second appointment already scheduled if the number of donations exceeds 60. The goal is to ensure the necessary support for hospital departments facing a significant shortage of blood, which is essential for medical care and interventions.
