Another record of Covid deaths in Italy: 303. Such a high number had not been recorded since April 28th.
Instead, there are 196.224 new Covid cases in Italy in the last 24 hours against 220.532 (record figure) yesterday. Less swabs (1.190.567 compared to 1.375.514 yesterday) and a positivity rate that goes up to 16,5% (+0,4%). The number of cases is still increasing deaths, 313 (yesterday 294), yet another record for fourth wave and the highest number since April 28. The total number of victims rises to 139.872.
After a very long time, intensive care is decreasing: 8 less (yesterday +71) with 156 admissions for the day, for a total of 1.669. However, the ordinary hospitalizations: there are 242 more (yesterday +727), 17.309 in total. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
The region with the highest number of cases today is confirmed as the Lombardia with 41.050 infections, followed by Campania (+ 27.034), Veneto (+19.811), Emilia Romagna (+18.631) and Piedmont (+17.147).

Total cases rise to 7.971.068. discharged / healed of the last 24 hours are 108.198 (yesterday 90.456) for a total of 5.609.136, while the currently positive grow by 87.921 units (yesterday +129.542) reaching a peak of 2.222.060. Of these, 2.203.082 patients are in home isolation.
