Nocera. A gunshot was fired at the entrance door of a law firm on Via Napoli, in Nocera Lower. The crime, discovered only in the last few hours, was allegedly committed during the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
The alarm was raised by one of the five lawyers who have the firm together. The investigation was entrusted to the agents of the Nocera Inferiore Police Station who, with the support of their colleagues from the forensic department, carried out technical surveys to try to reconstruct what happened. Since the beginning of the year, among other things, this is the eighth intimidation - including gunshots and bombs - that has occurred in Nocera Inferiore.
“It is an attack on the community,” said the lawyer Gaetano Sole, one of the five professionals who work in the office on Via Napoli. “A gesture that impoverishes an entire population that does not deserve to be the victim of scoundrels who only create difficulties for our land.”
Solidarity was also expressed by the board of directors of the Criminal Chamber of Nocera Inferiore which, moreover, invited "the competent authorities to intensify their preventive activity on the territory so as to guarantee the effective exercise by the legal profession of its constitutional functions, among which, it is recalled, the guarantee of the right to freedom and security and the inviolability of the defense of citizens".
Solidarity was also expressed by the President of the Council of the Order of Lawyers of Nocera Inferiore, Guido Casalino. “We cannot and must not underestimate these episodes that, now more and more frequently, are occurring against members of our category and that, unfortunately, represent the sign of a system of violence and abuse that is increasingly widespread.
The Council has full confidence in the work of the Police Forces, asking for maximum commitment so that light is shed on this serious episode and the perpetrators of the deplorable act perpetrated against our members are brought to justice”. Three of the five lawyers, among other things, have also previously held the position of councilor in the municipalities of Nocera Inferiore, Nocera Superiore and Roccapiemonte.
