Gionta killer Gaetano Izzo arrested, on September 12, 2021 he killed Francesco Immobile, nephew of the repentant Michele Palumbo.
The arrest was carried out by personnel from the Flying Squad of the Naples Police Headquarters, the Torre Annunziata Police Station and the Torre Annunziata Carabinieri Group during a joint operation. This is an arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples - District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against Gaetano Izzo, believed to be affiliated with the "Gionta" clan of Torre Annunziata, as he is seriously suspected of the murder of Immobile Francesco (nephew of the justice collaborator Palumbo Michele), who was fatally hit by multiple gunshots iOn September 12, 2021, a commando exploded in broad daylight in the square of the Church of St. Alphonsus of Torre Annunziata.
The restrictive measure summarizes the results of a complex investigative activity, conducted between the months of April and July 2022, which follows another operation conducted by the Naples Flying Squad and the Torre Annunziata Police Station on 30 November 2021, during which an arrest order was executed against other individuals, including a minor, investigated for the same crime.
Izzo Gaetano was stopped at Naples Capodichino airport, upon his return to the national territory from Germany, where he had temporarily settled, and was placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
The investigating judge of the Court of Naples has validated the arrest, applying the precautionary measure of prison custody to Izzo Gaetano.
