The Municipal Police of Caserta, has been busy on several fronts in judicial police activities in the past week. After numerous cases in recent months, another disabled badge swindler has been discovered and reported to the Judicial Authority.
In fact, it was discovered in Piazza Vanvitelli that a Fiat Panda was parked in a no-parking and no-stopping zone, displaying a laminated color photocopy of a disabled permit issued by this Command in 2019. While the vehicle was being removed, the offender, a 50-year-old from Caserta, approached.
The investigations revealed that the permit had been issued to the father, who had also died a few months earlier. The photocopied permit was seized as evidence of the crime and the person responsible was reported to the Judicial Authority for material forgery committed by a private individual.
Once again we come across the deplorable behavior of road users who, taking advantage of the possession of invalid permits legitimately issued to the holders, park anywhere confident of avoiding fines and towing of the vehicle.
We reiterate the invitation to all citizens to report, by email or by calling the toll-free number of the Command 800655155, improper use of permits issued to disabled people. Out of a sense of duty, out of civic sense and, above all, to protect those who truly need it.
Please remember that the use of the disabled permit is governed by Article 188 of the Highway Code and its implementing regulation, which require the necessary presence of the permit holder on board the vehicle where the permit is displayed as a personal authorisation.
Other judicial police operations were carried out as part of the activities to combat the phenomenon of fires in the Campania Region, known as the Land of Fires, under the aegis of the Deputy Prefect Dr. Filippo Romano. In particular, two operations were carried out, one of which was level II, with personnel from the Italian Army and one of level III inter-force.
In the second level operation, a car repair shop was checked and a portion of land of approximately 60 square meters was seized for illegal disposal of self-produced waste, as numerous spare parts and used oils had been found on the ground, not correctly differentiated and deposited in bulk. The case was reported
a 52 year old citizen of Caserta to the Judicial Authority.
