Riccardo didn't make it. The 24-year-old from Casertavecchia was hospitalized in very serious conditions after the crash on the Sannitica, between marcianise and Caivano in the Pascarola area, passed away in hospital. The injuries sustained in the accident in which 38-year-old Nicola Rivetti, a resident of Casola di Caserta, had already lost his life were too serious.
Riccardo Izzo was traveling in the car driven by his peer ADC when for reasons still being investigated the car went off the road and ended up against the guardrail. Nicola died in the hours immediately following while Riccardo was hospitalized in very serious conditions.
The Prosecutor's Office of Naples North has opened a file in which the only person registered is the 24-year-old ADC, who was driving the car. The young man is charged with manslaughter. He is under house arrest. A position that could worsen with Riccardo's death.
Public prosecutor Rossella Maria Colella has assigned the task to expert Marta Moccia who will be responsible for the autopsy on Nicola Rivetti's body. The forensic medical examinations will be carried out today at the hospital in Giugliano in Campania. The consultant will then have 60 days to file his conclusions.
After the tests, Nicola's body will be returned to his family for the funeral.
